As a photographer originally from New York, and living in Southern California for the past 20 years, Nina Russo sees each assignment as an opportunity to exercise her creative and intuitive eye. She’s able to capture an intimate portrait as well as handle more sizable and complex productions such as actress Liv Tyler elevated over a trampoline in front of the Manhattan skyline.
Since graduating from Syracuse University’s renowned S.I. Newhouse School of Communications, Nina has photographed celebrity and executive portraiture, music album covers, still life, corporate, architectural, interior design and photojournalism for an impressive and diverse client list including TIME, Fortune, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, LIFE, Reader’s Digest, Amtrak, Perrier, Sony, Wellpoint and Golf Digest.
Nina brings an individual approach to each assignment: sometimes reverential, sometimes humorous, sometimes quirky, but always memorable. In person and in camera, she treats her clients and subjects with integrity. She believes there is purpose in everything in our lives. And with that inspiration, sees every moment and every encounter as a gift.
Nina, and her husband, Michael Davis, live in Altadena, CA, with their twin children Ben and Emily, and pups Harley and Romeo.
